It IS that campus, from my window. And I'm not familiar with the "camel in the desert" shot, but just by the name alone I can see why there could be similarities.
If the 'camel in the desert photo' has the pyramids in the background, that's a fascinating photo. An early example of significant manipulation in an era when photography was novel enough.
