Was this picture taken a while ago?

I notice that there is hardly any snow on the ground. The picture that you took a couple of days ago shows a lot of snow outside your living room window.

Uh oh!

By long time ago, I was thinking 1964.

Busted!!!

I was trying to take a picture of a cardinal at breakfast yesterday, and the battery died on me. I had to charge all day into the evening and couldn't take a new shot, so I used a rejected candidate from exactly a month ago.

Way to go, T-Clog! What are you, Magnum PI?

No, I am not Magnum PI, I think that you took that picture when I was up there visiting. We just finished have a nice little hot chocolate / coffee at the other shop you frequent when I pulled over for you to take a photo of the bus.

:)

Best to come clean - I suspect we will all face these dilemmas over the year.

I like the photo, even out of context. With the black and white it has that feel of the school bussing program from the '60s.

Actually, I loaded up with disclaimers before I launched into the project, so I wasn't really trying to hide anything.

In a nutshell: most of my pictures are taken a day in advance and posted right before I go to bed, so they can actually be seen "the day of." On one other occasion so far, I think, I have pulled one out of the reserve. It was a night I took a series of pictures, none of which turned out the way I expected. It was around midnight, I was exhausted & facing a late-night diaper change (Rose's, not mine), and I didn't feel like firing the camera up and hunting down a shot. It was the guitar one: "Sustain."

Stephen: I sort of thought so, too. There's also some sort of-well, irony isn't the right word-but oddity about an ad for the Sportsmen Show on a bus that runs through North Minneapolis up to Brookdale Mall. And some urban guy in a hoodie getting on the bus. I think the Sportsmen Show people really need to rethinking their advertising strategy. I have a tough time believing there's a lot of trophy buck pursuing yahoos living in Camden and Brooklyn Center.

Love the quote Dan! It is a good and interesting shot.

Quote from my wife: "He must be too busy growing a beard to take a picture every day."

Ha! Actually just appeared in a play, completely sans-beard.

That picture on my main page, from last July.

Doesn't take me very much damn effort to grow a beard. Such it is with Kings of Men.
