House of God.

Or the attic from Weird Science.

Some very funky perspectival and perception things going on in this picture. The lighting on either side of the gable is so equal that the stuff on the right doesn't appear exactly real to me.

I really lucked out on the p & p, however. I was just trying to zoom in on the window as far as possible. All bets are off when I get out of optical zoom and into the range of digital zoom.

Space bends, squirrels shoot out of your anus. Damn that digital zoom.

Your house has become a holy sight because of my visit. :)

Nice capture my friend!

Squirrel shot was optical zoom. I almost never use the digital zoom. I want to leave open the possibility that I might enlarge any of these fuckers to 30" x 20".

Yes, T-Clog, it has become sanctified.

I think this is a great shot.

I swear the instructions for my Sony DCW-5 state "Here is the digital zoom feature. Never use it."

Thanks, Stephen.

I thought I was not using the digital zoom of my own volition, but perhaps I'm just following "orders" I've long-since forgotten.

Never, ever, ever use the digital zoom. If you need to get closer for some reason, most photo editing software will do it better than your camera.

I think I need to get good editing software before I splurge on a better camera. Who is using what out there?

I'm aware of the reasoning, but if I go down the road of digital editing in Project 365, I may as well hang it up right now.

I use Photoshop 7, and Photoshop CS at work, no huge differences for me. I haven't used whatever the cheap version of Photoshop is, so I can't speak to that. A friend of mine works for Corel and used to be a graphic designer for Paint Shop Pro (when they were Jasc Software, before being bought out by Corel). Now he travels around pimping their products, and he likes Paint Shop Pro. But what pimp wouldn't recommend his own?

Dan, why that reasoning?

Time. I don't mean that I fear, or don't have, digital editing capabilities. I just meant that my intent is to snap, download, post, will as few bells & whistles as possible. That's the only way I'll be able to keep this up for a whole year.

I expected that it was the time factor, and fear or lacking abilities actually didn't cross my mind. I did think there was a small chance that it had something to do with keeping it "pure," in which case I was going to recommend an ass kicking.

Nah-digital zoom is anything but pure.
