I think that you should put asphalt back. Restore your property to what it once was. Nothing says, "Hey come and sit down on me and enjoy some coffee" like asphalt does.
Hell, put it down under the play equipment too. There is nothing safer than the rough and jagged surface of asphalt to catch your child it they happen to slip.
Too late. We had a roll-off dumpster for a week and filled it to the brim with crap (asphalt, gravel, rotten boards, and the last pieces of Gibbs' old piano).
